Pembroke Woman Found Guilty After Permitting Distress to Four Cats

Internacional (Marketwired, 15 de Agosto de 2013) On July 22, 2013, Linda Chaput, of Pembroke, Ontario, was found guilty of permitting distress to four cats.Ontario SPCA Officers executed a search warrant of Ms. Chaput's property on December 20, 2012, and removed four abandoned cats left without food or water.

All four of the cats survived and have since been adopted.

Ms. Chaput received a 15 year prohibition from owning, caring for, or living with any animals. The Ontario SPCA received rights to inspect Ms. Chaput's property for compliance. She also received a $1000 fine and was ordered to pay $836.00 in restitution to the Ontario SPCA.
