View's partnership with Armorin, LLC, headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is coming on line with shipments beginning in September. Armorin provides high level security throughout Brazil and Argentina. Armorin has arranged with the local Rio de Janeiro authorities to initially install View's signature product, the ViewScan, at a major Brazilian government office building. Armorin is in the process of organizing demonstrations for, among other groups, the Brazilian police, Special Forces and SWAT teams, VIP protective units, and major banking institutions. Bangladesh has become, according to View management, "…an unexpected but very much welcome market for the ViewScan weapons detection system." Over a dozen installations made in Bangladesh late last year have been very well received by the government and local security organizations. This month View shipped two additional units to the capital city of Dhaka for use by Federal Security authorities. View is in discussions with several companies in the region who desire to distribute our product in Bangladesh, India and surrounding countries. View has previously shipped product to Pakistan, India, UAE and Bahrain. In addition, View is actively seeking a Middle Eastern Sales Representative to re-open an office in the Middle East.
On August 5th View announced the signing of an MOU between View Systems Inc. and Leone Asset Management, Ltd, located in Freetown, Sierra Leone to distribute View security products in West Africa. View has accepted initial orders and intends to ship before the end of September.
Bill Gaskill, a member of the View Board of Directors with over 20 years experience abroad, including living and working in Africa, states: "The security industry in West Africa is vastly underserviced. I believe however that we have found the right partner for the region in Leone Asset Management. Leone has very solid relationships with the governments of West Africa, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS: comprised of 15 West African nations) and major banking institutions throughout the region."
View Systems senior management was recently invited to the U.S. headquarters of a with a major international events management company. The company, who has offices in Brazil, Switzerland and the Middle East, is interested in utilizing View products as part of their security package offering to clients.
Domestically View Systems reports solid gains during 2013. View's existing customer base continues to remain loyal. New orders for the ViewScan from the State of Maryland, the Detroit School System Department of Corrections of Connecticut, Milwaukee and the Dodge City Kansas Community College have been received and will be installed post haste.
